Your session is focused on your needs and will be tailored to you, whether for refreshing your LinkedIn, creating that PR shot you’ll use again and again, or capturing the amazingness that is you. We start by talking about why you’re looking for that perfect photo, and what that means to you. Through this, I’ll dial in the look to bring that image to life, give it light, and together we’ll create something that is uniquely you.
Finishing and retouching is a key part of the process. My partner in crime is Stacey Ransom, the same creative team we’ve developed for our fine art and commercial work. Stacey has been using Photoshop since the product was first released and knows how to push a pixel or two. Your image is in great hands for the final polish.

Hair / makeup and wardrobe stylists can be coordinated in advance for industry standard rates. If you don’t have someone that you’re comfortable with (or plan to visit ahead of the shoot), I can make recommendations.
Bespoke backgrounds for full sessions are available at an additional cost and can range the gamut of styles and possibilities. We can discuss options beforehand to go over ideas and concepts to develop a full understanding of the scope of the project.
During our selection consultation, you may pick as many images as you like for finishing and retouching for $150 per image (a discount for multiples is available). Payment in full is due at this time, and your selections will be processed and delivered promptly.

There are headshots, and there are experiences. Which are you ready to invest in?
These sessions are more in depth in the approach to bringing out your character and desired expression of self. And, as digital artists, the images from our session are only the beginning of possibilities. These custom works of art are one of a kind expressions for your wall, or out-of-this-world ideas for your brand or business. The work involved will depend upon the concept we agree upon in the consultation, and the pricing will be quoted for the project. These projects start at $3500 to cover the consultation, creative concepting, and the photo session (if no additional resources are required). If the concept requires, additional space and crew may need to be included for the session and will be spelled out in the proposal. There you will also find the post production estimate, which will be itemized and billed per hour.

FAQ
Clothing choices
Pick something you’re fond of and that is well tailored both for your fit and the image you’re looking to project. Avoid pure whites and overly complicated or distracting patterns. A wardrobe stylist consultation can be arranged with ample prior notice for an additional cost per industry standard rates.
If you would like more pictures
We can schedule an additional consultation to review the images from the shoot and select more for finishing. Only selected images will be available to discuss online via our review site. Outtakes will not be available online and may only be viewed in person during a consultation.
Studio location
Our studio is in Diamond Heights (San Francisco) with easy access to parking directly in front. As the project scope requires, a rental studio in SF will be booked for larger shoots.
Payments
Most forms of payment are accepted, and transactions are handled through our webstore. All projects require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the session cost. The balance of the fees and selections are due at the selection consultation in cash or credit card. Bespoke portraits projects will be billed in stages, with the estimate due before the stage of work can begin. If the scope updates during the process and requires additional time outside the estimate, a change order will be issued for the balance.
Rescheduling - Cancellation policy
Headshots and portrait sessions not involving additional resources can be rescheduled 48 hours in advance. Headshot sessions modified within 48 hours of notice incur a $150 charge. Other sessions require a week of notice or a new retainer may be required. Deposits are not refundable for any reason. If you are sick or feeling ill, we can reschedule to a later date. If you display the effects of illness, I will cancel the session on the spot and your retainer will be forfeit.
Image Rights
The resulting images are licensed to you for personal, PR, and small business needs as discussed. Printing can be arranged by us for an additional cost or a fine art printer (recommendations are available). If they are to be used for commercial purposes, advertising, products, book covers, etc., extended licensing is available and will be quoted per instance.
Guarantee
If there is something amiss, we can address it together immediately and make sure your session is perfect. Barring elements outside my control, if you are unhappy with the resulting images at the end of the session, they will be archived, and your fee will be refunded during the selection consultation. You may also choose to do a reshoot and schedule a new session at no cost (the images from the original session will no longer be available). This is only available for headshot sessions at my studio and doesn’t cover if additional resources were required for your project.
